I sat and read a lovely poem

I sat and read a lovely poem
A poem of sweet and tender love
It spoke of a beautiful love found
The joy and happiness it brought

The words caressed my heart
They held my blissful soul
Words so brilliant and loving
Touched my quivering emotions

I closed my eyes and felt the love
Here shared with all who could read
It wasn't envy I felt within my heart
For one should never feel so of love

But more an ache within my breast
A hope that one day I will find
Such a love to fill my empty heart
Thus making me at last complete
